Abstract Art Print Shadow in Minimalist Photography Awards

I don’t enter enough contests, as in hardly ever. But this year, I decided to give it a try, so I entered 2 different ones back in the spring, and just found out that my image “Shadow” got an honorable mention in the Minimalist Photography Awards’ Fine Art category! 😃🎉

I hesitated sharing this image for a long time (even though I personally love it), because it’s quite different from what you’re used to seeing from me. The ocean is, and will always be, my first love, but I have a secret crush on architecture. 🙂 I love shooting minimalist architectural photos, especially of white stone houses, the kind you see in southern Europe (and on Gotland, the island in Sweden where I grew up). But I have kept them to myself since it’s not what I’m known for, and artists are so often told to “stay in their lane” to not confuse their collectors. But it looks like the cat is out of the bag 🙂, and it feels extra special (and is a huge confidence boost!) to get recognized for something that I’ve been afraid to share.
