Happy World Photography Day! 📸

This is really a day of gratitude for me - photography has given me SO much. It’s a source of joy any day, and a comfort during rough times, when you can escape what’s going on around you and just focus on what’s in that little viewfinder. It has allowed me to be my own boss, and given me the freedom to travel whenever I want. And it lets me share my view of the world with others, which is my most favorite part!

I’ve been lucky enough to be surrounded by cameras and creativity my entire life. Both my Dad and Grandfather were avid amateur photographers, and their images and stories have always inspired me. I still have their cameras and negatives, slides, and prints, and they’re some of my most cherished treasures.

I think looking at those slides as a child is what gave me my love for both travel and palm trees. 🙂

I hope you have a chance to get out and shoot a bit today, even if it’s only with your phone. There’s so much beauty to be found in the world!
