New Black and White Art Print Collection

Fall Migration No 1 - Birds in flight wall art by Cattie Coyle Photography

I’ve just added a brand new Black & White Art Print Collection to make it even easier to find the perfect piece for your space. You’ve always been able to filter by color in the All Prints section, but now you can head straight to the B&W collection from the drop down Shop menu for a quicker, more streamlined search. And if you have something specific in mind, filtering from there is even faster.

For example, if you're searching for an oversized black and white palm tree print, just go to the B&W collection, select Palm Trees under Subject Matter, and then choose Extra Large & Oversized Prints in the Collection filter.

Or, if you’re looking for a large framed abstract black and white print, first filter by Subject Matter: Abstract, then select Extra Large & Oversized Prints under Collection. (No need for a separate "framed" filter—every print is available framed).

One quick tip: Don’t choose Abstract Art Prints combined with Extra Large & Oversized Prints under Collection, or you'll see all prints from both Abstract Art Prints AND Extra Large & Oversized Prints, instead of narrowing it down to just extra-large abstract prints. To avoid that, always filter by Subject Matter: Abstract first.

I know filtering can sometimes be a little tricky, so if you ever have questions or need help finding the perfect piece, just reach out—I’m happy to help!

Why Black & White?

Beach Days No 7 and 8 – Black and white fine art prints by Cattie Coyle Photography

Black-and-white always looks modern

– Karl Lagerfeld

Black and white photography is classic, sophisticated, and timeless. Without the distraction of color, the focus shifts to texture, contrast, and composition, making it incredibly versatile. Whether you prefer the drama of deep blacks and crisp whites or the subtlety of soft grays, black and white art has a way of fitting seamlessly into almost any interior style.

A monochrome piece can bring a sense of calm and sophistication to a minimal space, add depth and contrast to a light, coastal-inspired room, or act as a bold statement in a more eclectic, colorful setting. It’s classic yet modern, simple yet striking.

How to Style Black & White Art

Whether you're decorating a single wall or planning a full gallery display, here are some ideas to make the most of black and white prints:

Go Big: An oversized black and white print makes an instant statement and adds a sense of drama to any space.

Create a Gallery Wall: Mix different sizes and subjects—abstracts, beach scenes, and close-ups—for an eclectic but cohesive look.

Pair with Color: Black and white prints look stunning next to deep blues, warm neutrals, or earthy greens.

Choose the Right Frame: Black frames create a classic, crisp look, and natural wood keeps things warm and organic. A white frame makes the artwork feel airy and light.
