Most Popular Art Prints of 2025
Happy New Year! I hope you had a great 2025 and that 2026 will be even better! My 2025 highlights included of a lot of photography excursions, 3 of my abstract art prints doing really well in contests, launching the “On The Beach” series, as well as new dolphin and palm tree prints, travel to old and new favorite places, spending time with friends and family near and far, and several new exciting wildlife encounters.
I always love looking back at the end of every year to see which prints were the most popular and do a little roundup. As much as Iove traveling and shooting in different locations, this year, the top five prints were all photographed on my “home beach”, Good Harbor, on Cape Ann, MA.
And here they are, in descending order, the most popular art prints of 2025:
No. 5: The Ninth Wave
I photographed The Ninth Wave on a quiet early spring morning at Good Harbor Beach in Gloucester, MA. The light was incredible, it was mostly overcast, but there was this soft, peachy glow on the horizon, and the water had the most beautiful pale green color. It got its title because in Celtic mythology, The Ninth Wave represents the border between the known and unknown worlds, a barrier that separates the real world from “the other world”. To go "beyond the ninth wave" was to go on a journey of discovery and mystery, and to me, there is something otherworldly about this image – the soft colors, the fading horizon, the stillness, that single wave… almost like a dream.
No. 4: Summer Morning
Summer Morning was also photographed at Good Harbor Beach, but with quite a different feel from The Ninth Wave. As the title implies :-), this was an early summer morning with calm winds, clear skies, and beautiful, soft light. I personally love the peaceful joy-feeling of this image, with that expansive sky, tiny dot of a boat on the horizon, and the sun reflections in the single, small wave. It feels like the beginning of a day when good things will happen!
No. 3: Sandpipers No. 6
I photographed this group of Sandpipers running and foraging at the water’s edge the first year we lived on Cape Ann. It was an overcast, gray spring day, and when I first saw them in the distance, I thought they were a wave, but as I got closer, I realized they were birds. Luckily I had my camera and a long zoom lens with me and took as many pictures as I could before they took off. I particularly loved this image and turned it into a print, and it has been one of my most popular ever since.
No. 2: Sandpipers No. 1
More Sandpipers, also photographed that first spring on Cape Ann. After I came across them the first time, I did some research and realized they were only there for a short stopover on their way from South America to Canada, so I made sure to get out there every morning with my longest zoom to get as many pictures of them as I could while they were still around. And I’m so happy I did, I love these little birds, and the minimalist nature of these shots.
No. 1: Sun Glitter
Sun Glitter takes the top spot again, holding its title as the most popular print for the third year in a row! It was also photographed at Good Harbor beach, on a warm summer morning with brilliant sunshine and a dreamy, soft glow. To me, this image embodies happiness and carefree summer days on the coast, and it’s been incredible to see how much people connect with this image! I love that it's a favorite with so many!
So there you have it, the 5 most popular prints of 2025. Which one is your favorite?
