These little Sandpipers showed up on our beach on a quiet spring morning, making a quick stop on their way from South America to Canada. Their annual migration is truly amazing: researchers have found that they sometimes fly this route nonstop for six days - that's around 3,000 miles without a single stop to rest!

My bird images are all traditional photographs, but I love the dreamlike quality of watercolors and have photographed and developed this image in such a way that it more closely resembles a watercolor painting than a photograph.

The image is printed on matte archival cotton rag fine art paper with a 0.5” - 1” white border (depending on image size) and is signed on the border below the image. The sizes listed are the paper sizes including the border; for example, an 8x10-inch print has 0.5-inch borders, so the size of the image is 7x9 inches. The prints are available unframed or framed, and every order is professionally custom printed. Please read below for complete product information.

Framed prints come in a black, white, brown or natural wood frame with or without a white mat (see images for frame colors), and are currently only available in the US and Australia. All Australian orders are printed, framed, and shipped from my lab in Adelaide.

The sizes listed are print sizes; mats and frames will add to the final size. For example, the final outside size of an 8x10-inch matted and framed print is 12x14 inches. Please see the FAQs for all final framed dimensions.

The image is professionally printed, carefully wrapped and boxed, and normally delivered to you within 10 business days of your order. Current turnaround time for framed prints up to 20x30 inches is 3-4 weeks, and 6-9 weeks for large framed prints (24x30 inches and up).
